Terms and Conditions

This is the agreement between “you” the complainer and “us” Scottish Solicitor Complaints. These Terms and Conditions will govern the contractual relationship between the parties. 

  • You will appoint us to be your sole representative in this Complaint 
  • We will review your complaint and shall ensure that all aspects of service or conduct matters will be drafted into your complaint
  • We will negotiate with the Solicitor on your behalf during the initial 28 day period with a view to resolving your complaint and we will review all documentation received, after the initial 28 day period. 
  • At the outset you will indicate on the Online Form the level of compensation you wish to receive to settle your complaint. You cannot alter this after the initial complaint Form is submitted. Any compensation received in excess of the compensation you have indicated shall be shared equally between us and yourself.
  • You will not be charged for lodging a complaint and will not be charged if your complaint is not upheld.
  • If we receive an offer of compensation at or above the level you have indicated to us, you will give us the authority to settle your complaint and on receipt of any compensation payment from the Solicitor, you will enter into a settlement agreement to the Solicitor
